Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The location of the apartment is good and convenient, close to many tourist attractions in Istanbul. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and the nearest tram station is about a 10-minute walk away. The only downside is that most of the surrounding streets are uphill, so be prepared for some walking uphill, especially when returning to the apartment.
Negative: Unfortunately, there were several issues during our stay. When we arrived to collect the keys, we had to wait for almost an hour, even though I had informed them in advance about our arrival time. When we finally received the keys, I was surprised to find that the apartment was quite small and not suitable for my family of five. The host offered us two separate apartments. At first, I refused because I was travelling with children and did not want us to sleep in two different apartments. However, the host explained that the previous guest was sick and had to stay for two more days, and promised that after two days we would be moved to the apartment we had originally booked. After two days, we were given another apartment, but unfortunately it was not the one we had booked. The booking description stated that there would be two large beds and one single bed, as well as a microwave and a large TV. The apartment we received had two large beds and a sofa bed instead, there was no microwave, and the TV was small and did not work. I decided not to make a big issue out of these problems because I did not want them to affect our two-week holiday. Apart from these issues, everything else was acceptable to good.
